CIC visits Ramsis College for Girls

Canadian International College (CIC) is always keen on organizing its annual CIC for a day event, but this time CIC team  went to Ramsis College for girls (RCG) and had a motivational session presented by CICian Mahmoud Yacoub – an all time swimming champion – on setting goals and how to be determined to achieve them.

They also had an orientation session about CIC and its programs and schools along with the opportunities to study in Canada.

CIC offers a dual bachelor degree in a number of programs that allows students to earn a Bachelor Degree from CIC in Cairo and a Bachelor Degree from Cape Breton University or University of Ottawa in Canada.

CIC & CBU offer Student Exchange Program


Canadian International College (CIC) and Cape Breton University (CBU) recently have signed a Student Exchange Agreement  to enhance the educational and cross-cultural understanding of students from both institutions
The Exchange will be applied for students for one Academic  year or one Academic semester.  This chance will make them gain broaden personal and educational perspectives from exploring and appreciating new cultures, also learning from different professors will let them improve their educational experience and their personnel growth. Studying abroad is an opportunity to widen the university boundaries. Students should subject all academic rules and discipline policies at CBU and be responsible for all living expenses, accommodation, transportation and any other costs in Canada.
CIC students should complete at least one year at CIC with a minimum average of 75% over the previous two semesters with no failures. Students whose first language is not English must provide a proof of English Proficiency(TOEFL 550, IBT 80 or ILETS 6.5). Although, CIC students enrolled in the student exchange program are not eligible for CBU Scholarship.
Students should have a responsibility  to obtain the study visa to Canada, also paying the cost of travel to and from CBU beside the full tuition fees at CIC prior to participating in the Program and securing health insurance with paying medical costs as well. Student should  return to CIC after the period of exchange is over unless both institutions approve to extend the stay.
CIC and CBU Exchange Program is considered as a great chance for students to experience their learning environment, and now fill in the Student Exchange application form at the CIC External Affairs Department  prior to 30th of March,2013. Don’t miss it!

$20,000 CBU Scholarship For CIC Students


Cape Breton University (CBU) is granting a $20,000 scholarship award to senior undergraduate students at the Canadian International College (CIC) to transfer to CBU in Nova Scotia, Canada.
This scholarship is a great chance to experience studying at Cape Breton University and Canada.
Best two applicants will be awarded $5000 each and the next five recipients will be awarded $2000 each. Applicants should have a minimum of a 3.7 cumulative overall grade point average at CIC. Read the full application requirements here
Student needs to provide a 500-600 word (typed) response to the following statement: “What qualities and attributes do you offer the College as a Scholarship holder?”
An Award committee will select the recipients and will be notified by an official letter.

The Canadian International College invited 10 of its grads and Cape Breton Universitys graduates from Toronto, Halifax, Sydney, Cairo, Jeddah and Beijing for a Google Hangout that will broadcast live to the world online at www.youtube.com/ciccairo on Saturday, July 14th at 2:00 PM Cairo Local Time.

The Meet The AlumniGoogle Hangout is an excellent opportunity for viewers to ask CIC & CBU alumni questions not only about their academic experiences on campus but also about their professional experiences at companies like Vodafone, Orange, Citco, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, EMC, TEDX.Cairo, Hewlett-Packard and Airbus followed by a discussion about industry challenges and today’s needed skill sets required to become competitive in today’s market.
