Canadian International College (CIC) has organized a field trip for Engineering seniors to the
Scientific and Technology Center of Excellence (STCE) on the 21st
and 22nd of November,2012. STCE is a center established by the Ministry of Military Production that provides labs and courses related to their
majors. The trip has been organized for the Manufacturing and Communication &
Electrical majors.
Manufacturing Seniors visited the center on the
21st of November, having an overview on the labs provided there;
Fluid, Heat Transfer, Material Test, Automatic Control, CNC, Mechatronics and
Composites labs. For Communication & Electrical Seniors, they went on the
22nd of November, and visited the communication labs; Automatic Control, PLC, Material Test, Network, Fiber Optics, Microwave and other Communication
labs. Finally, they both had a general idea on the practical and theoretical courses
offered there.
CIC is now working on a protocol with STCE to allow engineering students gain more practical experience during their study at CIC.
